What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ride into Horizon City, where Mrs. Crawford and her son Johnny run the town's only newspaper, the Banner. Mrs. Crawford has printed an editorial attacking Mayor Jack Brody and backing Hiram Gibson in the coming election, and she has sent for a United States Marshal to oversee the vote. Brody's men break into the office that night and wreck the press before the pair can be stopped. Hickok arrives to find the newspaper smashed and begins looking into who is behind the attack. The Wild Bill Hickok series is a radio western; this episode aired on June 17, 1951, with Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
