What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his sidekick Jingles ride toward the California mining towns after a roadside ambush on a farmer named Ferino, whose buckboard is attacked by armed men. Ferino explains that his prized jumping champion, the Winged Victory, is about to compete in a contest against a rival town's jumper, and that the attackers wanted to stop him. Bill and Jingles agree to guard the champion, a frog, in their hotel room until the contest. The recording continues with the frog's disappearance and the confusion that follows. Wild Bill Hickok is a Western radio series, and this episode aired on 1952-05-16, with Guy Madison and Andy Devine in the lead roles.

Listen for: Jingles' trouble with the frog in the hotel room, and the wild jump that settles the contest.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
