What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ride toward San Vallejo, where Sheriff Matt Hollister has sent for them. They find the sheriff shot in the back at a spring and he dies while they are trying to help him. Back in town, the people are angry because Singing Creek, their only water source, has dried up after it was blocked near Sentinel Ridge. Hickok and Jingles confront the land owner Drago Bass, and the tracks they examine lead them to question who was really behind the shooting. The series features Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles, and this is a 1951 episode from the Wild Bill Hickok radio program.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
