What happens
Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles learn that widow Ma Turner owes five hundred dollars to Silas Johns, who is pressing to foreclose on her property. When the lawmen confront Johns in his office, he draws a gun, and they force him to explain why he wants the land so badly. Meanwhile Jingles and Ma prepare a surprise birthday party for Bill, though their plans are complicated by the mortgage trouble. The story is part of the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, first broadcast on November 24, 1954, with Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
