What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles travel to Santa Fe after the governor summons them to take on a dangerous mission. They are sent to Alamogordo to break up an international jewel smuggling ring, and they must work undercover, posing as ordinary cowhands. Their contact, a federal agent named Stan Baxter, is shot dead just before they reach him. Bill and Jingles decide to show a cache of diamonds around town to draw the gang out, and Jingles finds himself caught in a trap. Bill must track him down through the desert cliffs. The Wild Bill Hickok series starred Guy Madison and Andy Devine, and this episode aired on October 14, 1951.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
