What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles are camped by a river when a sheriff arrests them by mistake after a shooting. The sheriff, who has repeatedly arrested the wrong men, is persuaded to accept their help. Hickok and Jingles follow the trail to the Smithers ranch, where Luke Smithers was shot, and then to a neighboring ranch where the Kechel brothers have a long-running dispute over water holes. Their suspicion is sharpened by hints of a feud and by suspicious behavior around the ranch. This 1953 episode of the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, with Guy Madison as Hickok and Andy Devine as Jingles, follows the pair as they track the men responsible for the killing.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
