What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles visit their friend Sunshine Smith's ranch and learn that rustlers have stolen about 110 head of cattle from his south pasture. Bill and Jingles track the herd, but a bushwhacker fires on them from behind and the trail leads confusingly to the river. Meanwhile Sunshine rides on with them, and the cattle are soon traced toward a railroad where stolen steers are being loaded into cattle cars. The episode is a Wild Bill Hickok story from the Kellogg's radio series, starring Guy Madison as Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles, and it dates from May 1953.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
