What happens

Britt Ponson, a drifting plainsman, arrives in Powder Creek to find the whole town convinced he's getting married. The rumor has spread throughout the community, and everyone congratulates him on his engagement, though he has no idea who he's supposed to be marrying or how this misunderstanding started. Britt tracks down the source of the rumor and confronts Minnie Flint to learn the truth behind the false announcement.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
