What happens
Roy Rogers and Pat Friday discuss Joaquin Murrieta, a California bandit admired by many Mexicans and Spanish Californians during the gold rush. Murrieta is a skilled shot and knife thrower who dresses in fine silks and embroidered shirts. When a country doctor is blindfolded and taken to a mountain cave, he finds Murrieta badly wounded and must decide whether to treat him. Murrieta makes a bargain with the doctor, and the doctor is then drawn into a tense exchange over whether he will keep his word to the sheriff. This episode of The Roy Rogers Show was first broadcast on 1945-04-03 for Goodyear.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
