What happens
Roy Rogers hosts a casual party at his ranch, joined by Patricia Friday, Bob Nolan and the Sons of the Pioneers, and Perry Bakken with the Ranch Orchestra. Strange voices keep appearing around the ranch, and the group is puzzled about who is speaking. The mystery is explained when radio actress Sarah Berner is introduced as the evening's guest and reveals she is an impressionist. She performs imitations of familiar comedians and characters, and the program mixes these with songs, dance music, and a tire-service commercial. The Roy Rogers Show, a Goodyear-sponsored program, aired on January 23, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
