What happens
Rocky Fortune, a restless drifter, takes a job interview at a building in New York City and wakes up to find himself in a rest home in Denver, where doctors insist he is Steven Crandall III, a patient for eight years. Drugged and treated, he is taken to the Crandall estate, where his supposed wife Laura and the doctor and his assistant Johan keep him under watch. Rocky suspects a scheme and tries to convince those around him that he is not Steven. The Rocky Fortune series aired on NBC Radio on 1953-10-13, with Frank Sinatra starring as Rocky. The episode is a transcribed broadcast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
