What happens

Rocky Fortune, a jobless young man, takes a position as an oyster shucker at the Fifty Fathoms clam house. He quickly clashes with the manager, Barney, over a waitress named Iris, and he is soon fired after a mix-up with a customer's special oysters. While working he finds a string of pearls hidden inside the oysters, and a rough stranger then demands that he hand them over. The episode is part of the Rocky Fortune radio series, first broadcast on October 6, 1953, with Frank Sinatra in the title role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
