What happens
Red Horse Ranch hands sit down to talk about the outlaw Trigger Dawson, who was shot down in the hills during a pursuit of cattle rustlers in the roaring river country. Dawson left behind a boy, Dewey, whom some doubt is his son. Against the wishes of Mr. Carter and most of the ranch, Alabama has sent Tenderfoot to Roaring River to bring the boy back to the ranch. The hands worry about the arrival, while Rose and Carter debate whether the boy can fit in. When Tenderfoot brings Dewey to the ranch, the boy arrives frightened and quiet, and the ranch hands try to win him over with music and teasing.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
