What happens

Dewey Dawson, the young son of the late outlaw Trigger Dawson, refuses to let anyone open the locket his father gave him before his death. Alabama and the other ranch hands on the Red Horse Ranch believe two of Dawson's former outlaw gang, who escaped from Roaring River Jail, are trying to take the locket from him. Dewey insists on his father's warning, but the men's persuasion and the boy's own curiosity lead to the locket being opened. Inside, the boys find a folded paper, which Alabama unfolds to reveal a map of the Roaring River country. The ranch hands are left puzzled over what the map is meant to lead them to.

The Red Horse Ranch and its bunkhouse, with the Roaring River country nearby.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
