What happens

On the Red Horse Ranch in Alabama, the Carter family and their hands learn that young Dewey Dawson has gone missing. Dewey's dog Elizabeth turns up alone at the ranch, and the men suspect the outlaws who once rode with Trigger Dawson, the boy's late father. The cowboys search the countryside, finding Dewey's locket on the ground near the trees. Later, Steve Bradford rides in with Dewey, saying he found the boy wandering on his land, though the family is not sure they trust his account. Dewey tells how a pair of men seized him and asked about the locket before releasing him. The episode ends with the family puzzled over why anyone would want the small piece of jewelry.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
