What happens
Ed Carter, owner of the Red Horse Ranch, has agreed to let Dewey Dawson stay on at the ranch, but the other hands resent having the son of an outlaw around. Carter had told Cookie to get rid of Dewey's dog, and Cookie, trying to do the job, has trouble with the animal. Meanwhile the cowboys prepare for the upcoming rodeo, practicing their events and talking about the big race. Alabama takes a particular interest in Dewey and tries to win the boy over. The episode follows the ranch hands through breakfast and the morning routine as tensions around the dog and the newcomer continue.
The Red Horse Ranch, including the chuck house, the bunkhouse and the surrounding grounds.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
