What happens
Alabam is asked to ride Red in the final championship horse race at the Danville rodeo after Idaho's horse, Silver, goes lame with a split hoof. Idaho argues that Alabam has no right to enter the race, since he and Red were disqualified from the preliminary and Idaho's horse had won it. Rose, Idaho's sister, tries to persuade Alabam to take part, reminding him that the whole Red Horse Ranch is depending on him. Alabam finally agrees and mounts Red, while Steve Bradford's Eastern racehorse is the main rival. The judges and the crowd are waiting as the race is about to begin.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
