What happens
Dewey Dawson, a boy on the Red Horse Ranch, has gone missing after an attempted kidnapping. The ranch hands Alabama, Tex, Bob and Arizona search for him, joined by Cookie, who was supposed to be watching him. Dewey's pet dog Elizabeth has wandered off as well, and the men spend the episode calling out for the boy near a clump of trees. The ranch crew suspects escaped outlaws who once rode with Trigger Dawson, the man believed to be Dewey's father and now dead. Their search leads them to a locket that Dewey always wore around his neck, and they fear the boy has been taken.
