What happens

Alabama is asked to ride Red in the final championship horse race at the Danville rodeo after Idaho's horse, Silver, goes lame with a split hoof. Alabama is reluctant, believing he has no right to enter in Idaho's place, and Rose and her father urge him to race for the Red Horse Ranch against Steve Bradford's Eastern horse. The judges are asked to allow the entry, and the race begins with Red and Alabama in the field. This episode of the Red Horse Ranch series is one of its later installments, and the transcript does not give its original air date or the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
