What happens
On the Red Horse Ranch, Alabam believes something will happen to save the ranch, and he privately suspects oil lies beneath it. Mr. Carter returns from Danville with word that he has sold the whole herd, enough to pay down the bank loan and keep the ranch for another year. The hands celebrate with dancing and song. Alabam confesses that he was wrong about Brad, and Mr. Carter forgives him. Later the men learn that the outlaw leader Dawson was shot in the hills and that his gang is held in the Roaring River jail. They also hear of a young boy found in Dawson's cabin, and Alabam feels responsible for him and wants to look after him. The others are reluctant to get involved.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
