What happens
Alabam, a hand on the Red Horse Ranch, believes his roan horse has helped him find signs of oil on the property. He has shared his suspicion only with the boys and has asked them to keep it from Mr. Carter and Rose. With the ranch in financial trouble and a sheriff's attachment threatening the herd, the crew sings and talks of the rodeo, while Rose and her father ride out to join them. Alabam decides to ride to Danville, saying he expects a letter there, and he asks Rose not to come along. Idaho wonders what Alabam has discovered, and the boys agree to ride to Danville with him the next morning.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
