What happens
The cowhands of the Red Horse Ranch gather in the bunkhouse to rehearse songs for a barn dance in honor of Rose Carter, the owner's daughter, who has just returned from school. The boys sing and play for her, and she takes an interest in Alabama's new horse, Red. Rose later notices that her father seems troubled and asks Alabama what is wrong, but he tells her there is nothing to worry about. The men close the scene by hinting that some trouble may be brewing at the ranch.
