What happens

Cowboys at the Red Horse Ranch are relaxing in the bunkhouse, happy that Rose Carter is coming home from school in the east. Alabama and Tex trade jokes about Alabama's wild horse, while Tenderfoot and Arizona grumble about Sam Carter's sharp temper toward the crew. Sam, the ranch owner, has been worried over lost cattle and a loan on the ranch. He visits the bunkhouse to hear the men sing, then asks them to keep their troubles from Rose. The men settle on a horse race to decide who will drive the buckboard to fetch her. The episode ends with a closing hint that the ranch itself may be at risk.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
