What happens

Nick Carter arrives at a banker's office for an appointment with John Hamill, who suspects one of his four partners is embezzling money. Before the showdown can occur, Hamill is shot dead in the hallway. Nick discovers a gun in Cornish's office—the murder weapon—and Cornish flees. Nick later receives a call from Cornish asking him to meet at an abandoned house, but finds only emptiness waiting.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
