What happens

When Nick Carter arrives at a mansion where a man has been found shot dead, the victim's niece Ella insists it's murder despite evidence pointing to suicide. She notices the supposed suicide note was written with the wrong type of pen and the locked desk couldn't have been opened by her uncle. Nick investigates the dead man's mysterious past marriage to a woman named Sarah, uncovering a connection to a convict who recently escaped from state's prison.

A city mansion and its surrounding areas, plus Sarah Charvelle's residence and state's prison

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
