What happens
District Attorney Frank Hogan leads an investigation into a racket that has taken over the city's restaurants, with his assistant Harrington at his side. Restaurant owner Tony, freed from prison, agrees to help identify the collectors who extort payments from owners. The DA and Harrington photograph collectors at work, and Tony names the Ohio Kid as a gangster who used to visit his restaurant. The DA confronts the Ohio Kid at the Harwich restaurant. Mr. District Attorney was a radio drama series, and this episode aired on June 9, 1939.

Characters: District Attorney, Harrington, Tony, The Ohio Kid, Duke, Lynch, Mr. Harwich, Lillian
Listen for: Tony's identification of the collectors and the Ohio Kid, and the DA's staged meeting with the Ohio Kid at the Harwich restaurant.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
