What happens

Ken Thurston, the agent known as the Man Called X, is sent to Cairo to track down the international bandit Haberman, who has been looting American relief shipments. After an attempt on his life outside the Kismet cafe, he meets a mysterious woman, Aida, and later discovers that her sister Debra has been found dead. Thurston and his assistant Pagan search a warehouse of the Euphrates Shipping Company and find coffins filled with guns. The story follows the trail from Cairo to Port Said, where Thurston and his companions board the ship Muhammad Bay.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
