What happens

Ken Thurston, the man called X, travels to Honolulu after a woman named Mrs. Jordan accuses him of murdering her husband, Ralph Jordan, a veteran who bought Hawaiian land from a firm that may be a swindle. Someone has been impersonating Thurston by phone, and Thurston suspects a fraud run from the Club Malahini. He meets the hotel's Pagon Zellschmidt, the club manager Louis Sheik, a veteran named Frank Clark, and a dancer called Luapele, who says her brother died after being warned away from the islands. Thurston's inquiries lead him toward the hotel clerk, Mr. Quong, and a hidden back office used as a mail drop for the company.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
