What happens

George Valentine, a private investigator, is hired by William Kane, president of Kane and Bauer's tunnel construction company, to investigate mysterious accidents plaguing their tunnel project beneath a river. Kane suspects his partner Jim Bowers may be sabotaging the work to force the company to lose the job to a rival firm, Cameron Construction, which has made Bowers a lucrative offer. George and his secretary Brooksie go undercover as a reporter and photographer to investigate the tunnel operation.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
