What happens

George Valentine is invited to a country estate for a fishing weekend by Cecile Lewis, a woman he's never met. Upon arrival at Crescent Lane, George discovers that Cecile's brother Avery is deeply upset and unstable, and that Joe Ames, a social-climbing newcomer, has entangled himself in the family's affairs by purchasing a neighbor's property. When George hears gunshots from a repair shed, he finds Avery armed and clearly troubled about his sister's involvement with Ames.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
