George Valentine is hired by Lydia Tarbell to investigate her sister Edie's new husband, Cliff LeVire, a charming younger man and former dancer whom Lydia suspects married Edie only for her money. George travels to the beach to confront LeVire, and shortly after arriving at the Tarbell house, a flower box nearly kills George on the balcony, leading Lydia to accuse Cliff of attempted murder.
The Tarbell house on a hill overlooking the bay, near the beach; a foggy evening.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
