What happens

George Valentine investigates after a concerned milk deliveryman reports seeing a woman dangerously close to a bridge railing. George discovers the woman is Mrs. Blair, whose husband claims she's away at a rest home recovering from a nervous breakdown, yet evidence suggests she's been in their home recently—including a slashed portrait of another woman.

A rural countryside area with bridges and farmland, and the Blair household

Characters: George Valentine, Mr. Stangle, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Blair, Dr. Der Fee, Angel

Listen for: The revelation that Mrs. Blair has been secretly in the house and may have destroyed a portrait in jealous rage; Dr. Der Fee's cryptic mention of poison and 'homicidal' tendencies

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
