What happens
George Valentine encounters the eccentric Francis Xavier Wick at an art gallery, where Wick purchases an original painting by Otrio for $250 as a Christmas gift for a woman named Charity DuFrayne, whom he calls his "yo-yo." George and his companion soon discover that the painting is actually a forgery—the genuine Otrio painting is worth $17,000 and was just sold to Wick by the gallery owner, who wrapped it as a Christmas gift for the same woman.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
