What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator for the Greater Southwest Insurance Company, looks into a claim on the life policy of Avery Nicholas, whose will names his friend Red Barrett and a man called Louis Marino as beneficiaries. Red insists the will was altered, and Johnny travels to Lake Mohave Resort to speak with him. Shots are fired through Red's motel window, and Johnny starts piecing together the dates of the will, the witnesses and the people who came into Avery's life in the months before his death. The episode is part of the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar series, originally broadcast on CBS Radio, with Bob Bailey in the title role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
