What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar accepts a thousand-dollar check from policyholder Stanley Porter through his broker Lou Little. When Lou mentions an eccentric client named Jeremy Withers who mails insurance premiums in cash without proper precautions, Johnny becomes curious about a stack of bills in Lou's office. He drives to Withers' remote cabin in Oklahoma and discovers the old man has unknowingly received stolen money from the First National Bank robbery in nearby Millville—over twenty thousand dollars in new twenty-dollar bills with consecutive serial numbers starting with triple-six, double-four.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
