What happens

Johnny Dollar is hired to investigate a case involving author J. Stanley Porter, whose previous four wives all died suddenly within a year or two of marriage. Porter's current wife, Denise, fears she may be his next victim, particularly since he spends all his time writing about perfect crimes and murders. Johnny must determine whether Porter is a dangerous killer or simply a macabre writer whose dark imaginings are being misinterpreted.
