What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is called to Florida by his old friend Earl Foreman to investigate the theft of a rare Bicyac violin called the Canary, valued at ten thousand dollars. The instrument was stolen from the shop of violin repairman Antonio DiPelido after the shop was broken into and the elderly craftsman was knocked unconscious. When Johnny arrives, he learns that the violin's owner, wealthy collector Joseph R. Tetrick, has died under mysterious circumstances shortly after claiming he knew who the thief was.

West Palm Beach, Florida, including the offices of Earl Foreman and Don Boomer, the home of Joseph Tetrick on St. Armand's Key, and the violin repair shop of Antonio DiPelido on Palm Avenue.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
