What happens

Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator for the Tri-State Life and Casualty Company, looks into a series of daytime store robberies in La Monte Beach, a shopping district of Los Angeles. Each victim is a small shop owner, and the robber seems to strike at exactly the right moment, as if someone is watching the street. Dollar visits the affected shops, talking with the owners and the local people, and notices that the robberies follow a pattern. The episode is part of the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar radio series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on December 18, 1960, and stars Bob Bailey, Edmond O'Brien, John Lund and Charles Russell.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
