What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar meets Fred Brisco, a Continental Insurance Company colleague in Boston, who passes along a worried client, the miserly Henry Gerson. Gerson is convinced that his nephews and niece are plotting to kill him for his fortune, and he has received unsigned letters quoting Bible verses that he considers threats. Dollar takes him back to a rundown apartment in a neglected part of town, where Gerson barricades himself inside. Dollar then sets out to look into the relatives, beginning with niece Nancy Trimmer and then the nephews in Syracuse, New York. This is a 1961 episode of the CBS Radio series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, starring Bob Bailey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
