What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator for Tri-Western Life, travels to Nevada after Hal Barker reports that a client, Walter Bisbee, died in a mining accident near Virginia City, and that Barker suspects it was no accident. Bisbee had been in a partnership with Bill Hargrave, and the policy would pay Hargrave a large sum if his partner died. As the mine is cleared, Hargrave insists on being lowered into the shaft to recover the body himself, and Dollar begins to examine the scene closely. The story is broadcast on CBS Radio in 1960 with Bob Bailey in the lead role of Johnny Dollar.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
