What happens

Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator for the Atlantic Life and Casualty company, is called to Sarasota, Florida, by Don Bulmer, the company's local man. Bill Trasker, a fishing boat operator who is dying of kidney disease, has asked to see Dollar before he dies and seems to have confessed to a murder. Dollar's investigation begins at Trasker's modest shack, where the old man struggles to speak. The story was broadcast on CBS Radio in October 1960, and its episodes starred Bob Bailey, with Edmond O'Brien, John Lund and Charles Russell also among the lead actors.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
