What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator, looks into the death of Barney Slade, who runs a penny arcade in Ocean Park, California. After Slade's body is identified as Tom Sanford, the former husband of silent film star Mavis Gayle, Dollar learns that Sanford was reportedly killed on a hunting trip about 27 years earlier. Dollar questions Slade's friends at the arcade, then talks with Sergeant McKay and with Milo Martin, an actors' agent who was on that trip. Dollar is working for the State Unity Life insurance company and is trying to determine whether Mavis Gayle is connected to the death. This is Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, an American radio series, and this episode aired on CBS Radio on October 30, 1956, with Bob Bailey in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
