What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator, tracks a gang that hijacked an armored truck and killed a state trooper. Following a tip from Jake Meager, he drives up to Primrose Camp, where Pop Bardell runs a service station and tourist cabins. Bardell gives Dollar an odd account of a nephew, which doesn't match what Jake reported. Dollar later meets a prospector, Kid Marsh, who says Bardell has no living nephew. The broadcast's Primrose Camp setting and the men's suspicious behavior build the mystery, and the episode closes on a discovery of a hidden car and a dead man. Bob Bailey stars in this 1956 episode of Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, which aired on CBS Radio on October 9, 1956.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
