What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator, tracks a stolen car used by killers who fled after a payroll robbery in Kansas City and shot their way through a roadblock in southern Arizona. The trail leads him to the Primrose Tourist Camp in the Santa Rita Mountains, run by Pop Bardell and his wife Adele. Dollar arrives after dark with a disabled rental car and asks for lodging. The Bardells seem nervous and reluctant to have him stay, and Dollar takes a cabin for the night. Adele Bardell speaks of danger she cannot explain, and Dollar notices contradictions in what the family tells him. The episode is part of the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar series, aired on CBS Radio on October 10, 1956, with Bob Bailey in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
