What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar tracks Tom Chase, a junior partner who embezzled $120,000 from the New York firm of Everson and Chase and then vanished. Lieutenant Lefebvre in New Orleans links Chase to the murder of Freddie Quintana and to a ship sailing from Pier 23. Dollar follows the trail from New Orleans to Haiti, then to Havana and on to Barbados, where a woman named Connie offers to deliver Chase for money. Starring Bob Bailey, this October 19, 1956 CBS Radio episode is the fifth of nine in the Phantom Chase Matter. The story stops at a meeting in Barbados, with Dollar knocked unconscious in a dark warehouse.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
