What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator working for the Universal Adjustment Bureau, searches New Orleans for Tom Chase, a man accused of embezzling $120,000 from a New York investment firm. A newspaper photo led the firm to believe Chase is hiding in the city under the name Tom James. Dollar meets an informant named Freddie Quintana at Ace's Castle, where Chase's wife, Lola, has flown in to join the search. Quintana offers to lead Dollar to Chase for a fee, and a stolen letter from Chase is produced as evidence. The episode is the third of nine in the Phantom Chase Matter storyline, first broadcast on CBS Radio on October 17, 1956, starring Bob Bailey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
