What happens

Johnny Dollar investigates the shooting death of Ed Blake, with suspicion falling on Blake's wife Marty despite the city attorney's alibi for her. When Marty's house mysteriously burns down the same night, Johnny must uncover whether the fire is connected to Blake's murder and who is really behind the violence.

A wide-open town where corruption and racketeering run deep, including city hall, Marty Blake's house, and the scene of a major fire.

Characters: Johnny Dollar, Joe Crowley, Marty Blake, City Attorney Dave Sherman, Shorty Wells, Ed Blake

Listen for: The mysterious figure who emerges from the basement of the burning house with a gun, and the mounting evidence that suggests Marty Blake may be in greater danger than suspected.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
