What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is sent to San Francisco to investigate the sinking of the freighter Molly Kay, which went down off the Golden Gate Bridge with a half-million-dollar insurance claim at stake. At a preliminary board of inquiry, Captain Edgar Brawley testifies that the ship struck a submerged derelict and sank in minutes, but Johnny's questions about the captain's suspicious behavior during a previous voyage hint that all may not be what it seems.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
