What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar flies to Kingman, Arizona to investigate a case involving the abandoned Midas Touch gold mine. A prospector named Hard Luck Dennis has leased the mine and discovered ore worth $1,100 a ton, but needs significant capital to pump out water that has accumulated in the lower levels since Lake Mojave was formed. Dennis has approached three wealthy New York brothers—the Haskells—who now own a local ranch, seeking investment money for the mining operation.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
