What happens
Johnny Dollar, a special investigator for the Worldwide Mutual insurance company, is sent to Vineland, New Jersey, to look into the disappearance of Elmer Loomis, a wealthy glass company owner whose young wife stands to inherit a large life insurance policy. In the 1959 episode of the CBS Radio series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, Dollar meets with Sergeant Louis Tamasso of the local police and then visits the Loomis mansion, where Lena Loomis seems more interested in her husband's fortune than in his fate. Dollar follows a hunch about a sailboat that Loomis sold shortly before vanishing, and the trail leads him down the coast. The story is told in the first person from Dollar's point of view.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
